Sound Voyage Concert with Jeannie McKenzie and Wolfgang Ettenreich

Sound voyages are intentionally crafted, guided sonic meditations that use healing frequencies of multiple instruments in unique combinations.
By passing through these sonic landscapes, participants enjoy a depth of connection to their greater selves and come away with an experience of deep relaxation that comes so uniquely from that place of wholeness. This feeling often lingers long after the journey ends.
The artists bathe you in the sounds of ancient Tibetan singing bowls, uniquely crafted gongs, and the earthy vibrations of didgeridoos, as well as the deep voiced 5 string violin, flutes, rain sticks, hand pans, and a variety of other instruments, including their voices.
It is helpful to bring something soft to lie down on. We will have some blankets available.
Jeannie has been playing music professionally as a violinist in a variety of contexts for the past 40 years, and working as an energy medicine practitioner and sound healer for more than 30 years. She recently returned from a five week visit to Nepal where she studied with traditional Nepalese sound bowl practitioners, and expanded her orchestra of antique bowls.
Wolfgang started playing the didgeridoo in 2010 and performed in many (sound healing) events: “The Eternal Presence” (SF Bay Area Didjeridu Orchestra), Mahal Kirtan Ensemble (SF Bay Area), Esalen Institute (Big Sur, CA) and many more. Over time he has added various instruments to his repertoire, including vocals in light language. You can find out more about his scope of work on The Luminous Now.
