Canceled: Sound Bath with Otorongo & Friends (Special guests from The Luminous Heart Ensemble)
All events have been canceled at this time. We will reopen when Hwy 9 is repaired. Thank you for your patience and continued support.
Immerse yourself in a nurturing and revitalizing sound meditation experience with Otorongo & Friends. Join us to cocreate a sacred space dedicated to healing and renewal. Together, we will craft a supportive container where we can harmonize as a community, nurture our nervous systems, and sink into a state of profound relaxation and restoration.
Through the enchanting vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, wooden flutes, and array of other instruments we will weave a tapestry of sound with the intention of slowing down, and reconnecting to our source, and to nature.
Allow the soothing sounds to guide you into a space of deep peace and tranquility, where the rhythms of nature harmonize with the rhythms of your own being. Together, let us honor the coming of fall by tending to our own inner landscapes, so we may emerge refreshed and rejuvenated.
About an hour in we will take a short break and then invite everyone to share their beautiful voices with us as we share a collection of sacred mantras, and spiritual hymns, presented by the incredibly talented ensemble The Luminous Hearts.
Bring a yoga mat, blanket or anything you need to feel comfortable during the sound bath.
Featuring special guests from The Luminous Heart Ensemble including Adrian Larbi Cherif, Jill Stokesberry, Joel Derrick, Ransey Perry and more!
Tickets: Advance $20 (must purchase by 10/18); onsite $25
Bio:
Paul Gaeta, aka Otorongo has nearly 20 years of experience working with sound in a variety of formats. His current sonic focus is on the healing aspects of vibration. Having experienced first hand the therapeutic qualities of sound during his recovery from a hip surgery in 2019, he has since dedicated his craft to ambient music and sound therapy. His Otorongo project is deeply inspired by the ancient healing and musical traditions of the Andes, as well as contemporary artists like Brian Eno and Aphex Twin. He has recently been offering all acoustic sound baths alongside members of the Luminous Heart Ensemble, incorporating Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, flutes and hand pans, with the voice being an integral part of the offering. Fostering community through sacred sound is one of Gaeta’s main creative pursuits.
