Sacred Circle Dances with Maggie Moon
Hello dancing friends,
It’s time for us to gather again. This is a very special time for us to celebrate the Mother energy that we all have been gifted. Whether we have children of our own, or help nurture other children, or we channel our creativity and nurturing into our projects…. each of us, regardless of gender, is a Divine channel for this loving energy.
Please join us to celebrate the precious gifts that we each give to the world. Bring your mother, your sister, your niece, your cousin, your friends….all are welcome, including newcomers. Each dance is gently taught. If the weather is fine and we can dance outside for a bit, I’ll bring our Maypole. To honor the occasion, please wear something festive or for Spring, something that makes you feel special.
Sacred Circle Dances are simple steps usually holding hands in a circle, set to beautiful music from all over the world. Maggie gently teaches each dance before the music starts. No previous experience or partner required. All genders high school age and older are welcome.
Maggie leads dances outside when the weather is beautiful.
Suggested Donation $15, all proceeds benefit the Light Center.
Maggie Moon O’Neill has been leading Sacred Circle Dance for 25 years for groups large and small all over the country. Maggie worships with Quakers and Unitarians, and has danced in many parts of the world finding spiritual wisdom. Her most recent dance pilgrimage was to Findhorn, Scotland, where Sacred Circle Dance began. In Greece and Egypt she danced and meditated at sacred sites, and felt a deep connection to Isis, the Great Mother in Egypt and to Demeter in Greece. Her life’s calling is to share Sacred Dance as embodied spirituality, a way for each of us to directly experience the Divine Feminine.
