Dear Light Group,

When we think of healing, typically we focus on healing people. But Earth itself needs healing. The complex interplay of energies on Earth – the various ecosystems, the water cycle of evaporation and precipitation, and the energies within Earth and being directed towards Earth – all need to be kept in balance.

There are a lot of us humans on Earth – about seven billion of us – and we put tremendous demands on Earth. We take a lot from it in the way of natural resources. We have paved over a good portion of Earth to make cities. And we fight over portions of Earth, infusing the very soil with our negative energies.

The group of people whose mission it has been to keep the energies of Earth in balance has been the Native Americans. The Hopi Indians pray over corn before they plant it. The plains tribes would pray over a buffalo they had killed, giving thanks for all of the good things the buffalo had offered and breathing in the animal’s spirit. On a prayer mission that United Research took to the Hopi Indian Reservation, White Bear, who collaborated on research for the seminal Book of the Hopi, told us that in every step he took he was offering a blessing for Earth.

With a similar reverence for the planet, let us offer our prayers this Saturday for the wellbeing of Earth:

Thank you, God, for this beautiful planet, Earth. Thank you, God, for the beauties of its waters, the majesty of its trees, the openness of its skies, the abundance of its life. Let us, with every step we take bless this planet.
Thank you, God, for bringing your healing energies to Earth. Thank you, God, for healing all the places where humans and animals have been killed. Thank you, God, for healing all the places where humans have scarred the planet.
Thank you, God, for bringing peace and harmony to the energies within Earth. Thank you, God, for bringing peace and harmony to the volcanic energies within Earth. Thank you, God, for bringing peace and harmony to the tectonic plates.
Thank you, God, for filling our sun with Light and Love, that the energies reaching Earth may uplift everyone and everything.
Thank you, God, for making this a planet of Light. Thank you, God for filling Earth with Light and Love and for making Earth so vibrant that it becomes a joy for all to be here.

Love and Light,
Tully
