Dear Light Group,

The news these days is thick with judgments. And beyond simply being judgments, they tend to be freighted with angry emotions. It can get tiring just listening to it.

In this kind of environment, how refreshing it is to reflect on the Christ. In so many ways, Jesus told us that the Christ is in us–and in everyone else. He said, “Ye are gods” and “The things I do you can do and greater.” He also said to his disciples at the Last Supper, “This is my meat, eat me. This is my blood, drink me.” By doing that, he was saying that they were the Christ. If you eat and drink the Christ, the Christ is what you become.

This Christ does not get caught up in the convulsive times in which it lives. There is a deep inner peace that comes from knowing one’s essential nature, from knowing that that essential nature is Divine, and from knowing, as Jesus said, “I of mine own self do nothing. It is the Divine within that does the works.” This Christ nature is clear, is pure, is radiant Love. It is free. It is blissful.

As we near July 4th and our celebration of freedom, let us individually be free of judgments and anger. Let us immerse ourselves in the freedom and the Love and the Peace that is the Christ.

To get into this consciousness, you might want to try prayers such as: “Thank you, God, for the Christ. Thank you, God, for the freedom to be the Christ. Thank you, God, for America, where we have the freedom to experience and express our Divinity. Thank you, God, for the consciousness of the Christ in me. Thank you, God, for the consciousness of the Christ in everyone. Thank you, God, for the Love that is the Christ. Thank you, God, for the Light that is the Christ. Thank you, God, for this consciousness of the Christ, living in me and in everyone, at all times and in all places. Thank you, God, for making it so. Amen.”

Love and Light,
Tully
