Dear Light Group,

We have been trained to believe that the Light answers all questions and resolves all problems. It does, but if we’re out of control, there can be challenges.

I remember a friend of mind telling me about his time with Jim Goure in the 1970s. Before he met Jim, he had problems with his kundalini. The energy would rise from the base of his spine, and it was so powerful that it would leave him virtually incapacitated. When this happened, he couldn’t work. He couldn’t do much of anything–except wait for it to pass.

Then he met Jim. He stayed at the Goure home. Jim told him to give it time, and it would pass. Which it did. Then this friend was able to pray the Light Prayer (and still does), and the kundalini no longer spiraled out of control.

What he took away from his experiences was that Jim was right. The Light center (in the human body) was where it was at. He said that Eastern religions depicted the kundalini as rising from the base of the spine and culminating in the Wisdom center in what many of us call the brain–but that this was only partially right. Yes, the kundalini rose from the base of the spine to the Wisdom chakra, but then it descended back to the Light center, where it radiated out.

The Light Prayer is based on this realization, that the Light center in each one of us is a locus for our prayers: “I radiate the Light from my Light center throughout my being. I radiate the Light from my Light center to everyone. I radiate the Light from my Light center to everything.”

Let us begin this Saturday by visualizing that which is most precious to us and seeing it merged with our Light center. What is most precious to you could include friend, family members, aspects of nature. Whatever it is that is most precious to you, merge it into your Light center, and then say, “The Creator within my Light center radiates Light to that which is most precious to me.” Keep repeating this until you and all that is within your Light center is filled with Light.

You may feel an expansion of self. If you do, then add more–your home, the city in which you live, planet Earth, the Milky Way galaxy, the universe. As you expand, repeat this prayer: “The Creator within my Light center radiates Light to that which is within me.”

May this prayer bring you a sense of Peace, of Joy, of Love.

Love and Light,
Tully
