Dear Light Group,

Many Christmas cards sends greetings of peace. I’ve sent a few myself. And as we celebrate the birth of the Christ, it is appropriate that our thoughts turn to peace: Jesus told us, “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth give I unto you. Let your heart not be troubled; neither let it be afraid.”

Jesus speaks of the peace within. If we were to wait for the external world to bring peace, we would have a long wait. Instead, the place to go for peace is within. That’s the only true peace we are likely to find.

This is easier said than done. To achieve this, we need control over our thoughts, emotions, and senses – and there are continual distractions and disruptions.

Coming back to the peace within requires practice. Here are some prayers that may help:

I am filled and surrounded with universal Peace.

My mind is filled with Peace. My heart is filled with Peace. My emotional body is filled with Peace.

I am detached from the senses and the objects of desire and attraction.

Peace surrounds me and surrounds everyone and everything.
Divine Peace fills and surrounds everyone and everything on planet Earth.

In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus told us, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” As we enter the new year, let us be those peacemakers.

Love and Light,
Tully
