Dear Light Group,

With Thanksgiving behind us, our thoughts turn to Christmas and the birth of the Christ. As with the birth of Jesus, there are things we can do to prepare the way of the Christ within ourselves and within everyone.

We can start by giving praise. Just as Gabriel said to Mary, “Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women,” and just as Elizabeth said of Mary, “Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,” so we can give praise to the Divine Mother: “Praise be to Thee, Divine Mother, for the Christ and its gestation within me and within everyone.”

It was not only Gabriel and Elizabeth who recognized the Christ but also the wise men, so let us give thanks for the wisdom to recognize the Christ: “Praise be to God for the Truth, for the wisdom to see and know the Christ in everyone and everything.”

Angels gave glory to God at the birth of the Christ, and we can give thanks for the angelic kingdom and its presence: “Thank you, angelic friends, for your presence with us, as we give birth to the Christ within. Thank you, angelic friends, for your presence with everyone and everything, for your help in giving birth to the Christ in everyone and everything.”

By starting now to prepare the way of the Christ, we can make this a more fulfilling Christmas, one where we feel, deeply, the presence of the Christ in ourselves and in everyone and everything. Then, as happened with Mary, our spirits will soar and we, too, can say, “My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my savior.”

Love and Light,
Tully
