A Monthly Celebration of the Gift of Movement and Dance as a Form of Prayer and Meditation and Connecting with Source and Spirit

 Sacred Circle Dance is a way to be connected to Spirit through our bodies, a form of moving meditation in the community of the Circle. The dances are simple repetitive steps holding hands in a circle, set to glorious music. Maggie Moon teaches each dance gently and carefully so that each person feels at home in the dance. No partner or previous dance experience required, all genders and abilities welcome, high school and older.

The 2-hour session includes opening and closing rituals, silence after each dance, and personal sharing.

Sacred Circle Dance originated in the Findhorn Community in Scotland in the ‘70s, starting as a collection of ancient sacred dances from many communities in Eastern Europe and Russia, and now includes dances from all over the world, both ancient and modern. Each dance offers an opportunity for connecting with Spirit.

Donation based event: Suggested Donation $15, all proceeds benefit the Light Center.

Maggie Moon O’Neill has been leading Sacred Circle Dance for 30 years for groups large and small all over the country. Maggie worships with Quakers and Unitarians, and has danced in many parts of the world finding spiritual wisdom. Her most recent dance pilgrimages were to the ancient Mayan temples in Guatemala and to the Findhorn Community in Scotland, where Sacred Circle Dance began.  In Greece and Egypt she danced and meditated at sacred sites, and felt a deep connection to Isis, the Great Mother in Egypt and to Demeter in Greece.  Her life’s calling is to share Sacred Dance as embodied spirituality, a way for each of us to directly experience the Divine Feminine.

Join us for the final Night at the Dome of 2026, a community evening event in the Light Center’s Dome.

Night at the Dome has become an evening of light hearted community with others of the spiritual community.

It is a free flow event, meet and greet, opening welcome messages, upcoming announcements, light and sound experiences,

Light Room Sessions, candle lit labyrinth walks and more.

SANCTUARY–The Vibration of Autumn–Sacred Sound Journey with Mark Biehl

Mark Biehl presents a unique sound blessing ceremony to welcome the season of Fall, and inspire us to gracefully move through our own seasonal process by letting go of what no longer serves us and embracing change. Allow the deep vibrational energies of over twenty beautifully tuned Himalayan singing bowls, indigenous flutes, medicine drumming, rattles and shakers, gongs, chimes and vocal mantra to guide us through clearing and release, as we plant seeds to begin a new path of personal growth and transformation.

Autumn begins the onset of shorter days, the harvesting of crops, and a time to prepare for the winter ahead. The element of metal that represents autumn, is found abundantly in singing bowls from the Himalayas, and is a symbol of refinement and inner strength. The season of Fall encourages us to make use of everything that is necessary and pure, and to eliminate those things or qualities that are wasteful and no longer necessary.

“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.”

Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and eye covering (optional). Dress comfortably and bring some water to drink. It’s preferable not to eat for an hour prior.

Bio:

Mark Biehl, CVSC, LSHC lifelong musician and composer, is the founder of Acuity Soundworks®, dedicated to the development and presentation of music and sound to inspire creative thought and action. Mark is a Certified Vibrational Sound Coach and Licensed Spiritual Health Coach. He has received training in Primordial Sound Meditation, Traditional Shamanic Sound Practices with Zacciah Blackburn of the Center of Light Institute, and Certification in Sound Healing with Himalayan Singing Bowls from Nepalese Master Teacher Suren Shrestha. He has over twenty years’ experience in sound healing, and offers both private and group sound sessions. Mark believes in the idea that sound creates a gateway into deeper levels of consciousness, the heart, and soul. As a result, he utilizes various sound tools and the voice in conjunction with his spiritual health coaching skills and positive intention to gently support beneficial shifts in our perspective on life.

Mark’s Sanctuary Sound Journey program is a deeply relaxing and mentally uplifting experience featuring the sounds and vibrations of over twenty Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, chimes, indigenous flutes, drumming and the voice. His program also includes various breathing techniques designed to bring participants into a more focused and balanced state, and guided readings featuring topics that encourage mindfulness and provide inspiration. Sanctuary is intended to take participants deep into stillness of mind, body and spirit. The breathwork and guided meditation work as a kind of staircase leading everyone into a progressively more relaxed state, culminating in a lengthy sound immersion with Tibetan singing bowls, melodic and percussive instruments, mantra chant and ambient atmospheres.
